Boating enthusiasts in and around Mississauga, Ontario are in for a treat.  The Port Credit In-Water Boat Show is set to begin August 26-28, 2011 at the Port Credit Harbour Marina, The Boating Super Centre, in Mississauga.

One of the only boat shows to feature both new and used sail and power boats, the Port Credit Boat Show displays vessels both on the land and in the water.  Guests are encouraged to take in the picturesque sights of Port Credit, enjoy some local fare at one of the nearby restaurants or cafes, and walk the docks and explore new sailboats from great brands such as Beneteau, Jenneau, Hansa, J-Boats, Hunter, Dufour, C&C, Tartan, and Catalina.  Power boat makers include Chaparral, Four Winns, Carver, Regal and Cruisers Inc.

This is just a small sampling of the boats that will be on display at the Port Credit Boat Show.  There will also be a large variety of pre-owned and used boats and yachts, represented by local brokerages.

Land displays will include a selection of marine equipment.  Insurance and financing charters will also be on-site to answer questions, as will sailing schools and boat associations.  Boaters who need to write the Operator’s Proficiency Test will be able to do so onsite.  Experts will be available to answer any boat-related questions.

Guests are invited to take in one of the many educational seminars that will be on throughout the duration of the show.  This year’s seminar series is called “Living the Dream” and will be hosted by Rob MacLeod.  A lineup of speakers will discuss a variety of topics, including cruising in the Caribbean, and living the dream on a yacht.  There will also be seminars on things to consider when buying a boat and boat electronics.

This is promising to be a great event that serious boaters should not miss! To learn more about the upcoming Port Credit Boat Show, and to find up-to-date information about vendors and seminars, click here.
